Brandy + Matt | Bridger Canyon Engagement

Brandy and Matt have known each other since their elementary days – they grew up in the same small town, went to the same schools, and ran in the same circle of friends. They became a couple in 8th grade, and what was a middle school crush then, quickly turned into high school sweethearts. He was handsome football player that every girl would end up having a crush on at some point, and she was the beautiful girl that was always friendly to everyone she talked to. They were that couple that was meant to be, who everyone in our high school, at least that I knew, was rooting for.

Their Engagement Story

Matt took Brandy to Glacier National Park in October for a weekend getaway before it closed for the season. Weather in Montana that time of year can either be really nice, or not so great, but it was good enough to get out an hike a bit while they were there. Matt planned on taking Brandy up to the top of Logan Pass on the last day they were there and propose to her while hiking, since it was supposed to be the best weather that day.

True to Montana fashion, the weather changed enough to cause the park to close the road near the top of the pass due to icy conditions. Because of the time of year, the road wouldn’t open again until late spring, so Matt did his best to convince the park ranger to let them through in hopes to carry out his proposal like he wanted to. Alas, it was a no go, so they turned around to head back down the pass.

On their way back down, they decided to stop at one of the scenic pull outs and take some photos. Just as they were about to get back in the car, Matt got down on one knee and asked Brandy to marry him! She said yes, of course, and the rest is history!

We had a great time during their engagement session up at the Bridger Bowl Ski Area just outside of Bozeman. They are just as sweet of a couple now as they were back in high school, full of laughter and smiles! Congratulations, you two! I can’t wait for your wedding this June!

I think this was a mix between an overly excited tourist and the Lewis and Clark pose? Such a beautiful couple! I think this was a mix between an overly excited tourist and the Lewis and Clark pose? Such a beautiful couple!
